WinPath3-SuperLite
WinPath3-SuperLite is a high-performance System on Chip (SoC) enabled by Wintegra's WDDI software solutions for cost sensitive applications like Mobile Backhaul, Fixed Wireless Access and 4G Pico Base Stations. It is a derivative of the WP3 family with reduced but compatible I/O connectivity offering up to 6 Gigabit Ethernet, 24 Fast Ethernet, 16 TDMs, and two SPI-3/POS level 2 supporting OC3/OC12 ATM and 5 integrated SERDES. The WinPath3-SL has multi-core packet processors and dedicated hardware accelerators for additional support of Parsing and Classification, Shaping, Policing, Packet Synchronization as well as Security (AES, DES, Kasumi, SNOW-3G H-MAC and others). It also includes an integrated PCIe port and flexible memory controllers supporting DDR2/DDR3 SDRAM with ECC along with an integrated MIPS 34K multi-threaded Host processor incorporating dual Virtual Processor Elements (VPEs).
Over 60 available protocols managed by a C language API enable rapid integration of WP3-SL into advanced telecom system applications. As enabled in other WinPath devices, all protocols are RAM-based to facilitate evolving network elements like Carrier Ethernet systems. Available data-path software includes interworking QoS, and layer 2 protocols such as MPLS, EFM, G.Bond, PWE3-SATOP, link aggregation, GRE, WRED, WFQ, VLAN aware bridging and many others. This production-quality software is provided royalty-free as object code and is also able to be licensed as source for customization.
Wintegra also offers a WDS3-SL reference board for early software development and prototype system. WDS3-SL is available along with various I/O daughtercards to enable a broad range of networking applications. Optional I/O daughter cards provide 4xOC3, OC12, and T1/E1 connectivity.
